- Right click on the link of the file that you want to download and select the option Save Target As. - If necessary, go to the folder named Downloads and click the button called Save. Normally, in Windows 8, when you are downloading a file, the file will be saved in the location where you saved the previously downloaded file. This will help in easy navigation to these files.
The Windows 8 OS will start copying the file from a website to the system’s hard disk, no matter what the file type you download. When the downloading of the file is completed, a window will be seen on your screen and to open the folder where the file is downloaded, click the button called Open Folder.
