Socket AM5 (LGA 1718)

Socket AM5 (LGA 1718) is now AMD's first LGA socket designed for mainstream, non-enthusiast CPUs, replacing the previous Socket AM4. It is used for AMD Ryzen microprocessors based on the Zen 4 microarchitecture.

The Ryzen 7000 series platform, utilizing Socket AM5, was officially unveiled by AMD and comes with several advancements.
