Xircom Device Drivers

Xircom was a company that specialized in networking and connectivity solutions, particularly during the late 20th century. Founded in 1988, Xircom was known for its innovations in PC Card (PCMCIA) technology, which provided ways to add networking and connectivity features to laptops and portable devices.

One of their notable products was the RealPort series, which included Ethernet and modem PC Cards. These cards allowed laptops to connect to local area networks and dial-up internet connections, respectively, making them valuable tools for professionals and travelers.

Xircom's products were often used to enhance the networking capabilities of laptops before integrated Wi-Fi and Ethernet became standard features. In 2001, Intel acquired Xircom, and its technologies were integrated into Intel's broader networking solutions.
