Broadcom has an array different wireless adapters, many of which are PCI-E Mini cards, if you can look up the model of the notebook or laptop you may be able to get hold of the exact card that is installed. Other than that you can open the device up and see what card is installed. The image of the PCI-E Mini card is an example of what it may look like.
