How To Enable Roku Developer Mode And Sideload Apps

Sideloaded Roku apps allow access to content not available on the official Roku Channel Store.

1. Enable Developer Mode: - Access your Roku's Home screen. - Press the following buttons on your remote: Home (x3), Up (x2), Right (x1), Left (x1), Right (x1),Left (x1) - Select "Enable installer and restart."

2. Sideload web interface. eg http://192.168.1.3/ from this page you can upload apps. from here you can use the username rokudev with the password you have made.

3. Prepare the App Package: - Ensure the app package is in the correct format (usually a .zip file). - Extract the app files to a location on your computer.

4. Sideload the App: - Launch the Developer Application Installer (Web browser)  Locate the app's .zip file and upload it using the installer.

5. Confirm Installation: - Check your Roku's Home screen for the sideloaded app. - Launch the app to ensure it runs smoothly.

Remember, sideloading apps may void warranties or cause system instability. Only install apps from trusted sources to avoid potential security risks or device malfunctions.
