Some hardware will not work after installing or upgrading to Windows 11 due to the Memory Integrity setting that was designed to protect the system from low level hardware attacks. If you would like to disable it, it is very simple but be warned you will not have the memory protection that is one of the features or selling points of Windows 11.
To turn off Memory Integrity in Windows 11, follow these steps:
- Open Windows Security:
- Click on the Start button (Windows icon) on your taskbar.
- Type Windows Security and press Enter.
- Navigate to Device Security:
- In the Windows Security window, click on Device security in the left sidebar.
- Open Core Isolation Details:
- Under the Core isolation section, click on Core isolation details.
- Turn Off Memory Integrity:
- You will see a toggle for Memory integrity. If it’s turned on, switch it to Off.
- You may receive a prompt to restart your device to apply the changes.
- Restart Your Computer:
- Save any work and restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
After your PC restarts, Memory Integrity should be disabled. If you encounter any issues, ensure that your drivers are updated, as outdated drivers can sometimes conflict with this feature.
