  •  You need to run the command prompt in the Admin mode. For this purpose, enter by typing, cmd in metro UI and press down ctrl+shift+enter to access the cmd window.
  • Otherwise, you can move on to the system management tools and then choose the command prompt in Admin mode.
  • In the Command Prompt Window you need to  type & enter
  • reg.exe add “HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0″ /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0×00000001
  • if you using more than one cd/DVD room type
  • reg.exe add “HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\atapi\Controller0″ /f /v EnumDevice1 /t REG_DWORD /d 0×00000001

Now, you need to reboot the computer. And insert a disc to test. The drive will be displayed.
