Tips on searching OEMDrivers

Searching via Keywords

Make sure that if you are searching for example a Realtek AC97 and you are getting too many results try just searching for AC97 to get a more directed result.

Searching Via HWID (Device String)

If you are searching by using a HWID string for example (USB\VID_0BDA&PID_B812&REV_0210) and you get no results:

Try searching for the string without the &REV..as this referrers to revision of the device that may not be necessary when i comes to the drivers for the device.

The most important part of the string is xxx\VID_xxxx&PID_xxxx the strings after while important may have be inserted by a vendor to help with identification, and isn't always a requirement. When using a driver with this short HWID, it is considered experimenting and always should be treated as such. There is always a chance that some harm may come if you install the wrong driver.
