Originally the Lenovo G40-30 Laptop shipped with Windows 8 back in 2014 which most people will remember was a catastrophe due to its awful interface lack of features. So, most people have upgraded to Windows 10. There is are still ways to upgrade to Windows 10 for free, but I am not sure to what is needed.
