The Microsoft Hyper-V Network Adapter is a virtual network interface card (NIC) used in virtualization environments created by Microsoft's Hyper-V technology. It allows virtual machines running on a Hyper-V server to communicate with other virtual machines, as well as with the physical network to which the Hyper-V server is connected.
The Hyper-V Network Adapter functions as a virtualized network interface card, which means it has its own MAC address, can send and receive network traffic, and can be configured with network settings just like a physical network adapter. However, it exists solely within the virtualization environment and is not a physical hardware component.
