Realtek ALC861 Sound Driver

The Realtek ALC861 is a sound device and audio codec commonly integrated into motherboards and laptops during the mid-2000s. This audio chipset supported basic audio processing and playback capabilities. It featured 18-bit digital-to-analog conversion (DAC) and 20-bit analog-to-digital conversion (ADC), delivering decent audio quality for its time.

The ALC861 supported various audio formats and channels, making it suitable for everyday audio needs, such as listening to music, watching videos, and engaging in basic gaming. While it lacked some of the advanced features found in later audio codecs, the Realtek ALC861 served as a reliable and cost-effective solution for delivering sound on a wide range of computing devices.
