If your computer has Bluetooth hardware, you usually just need the correct Bluetooth driver. If it doesn't have Bluetooth hardware, you can add it with a USB Bluetooth adapter and install its Windows 10 driver.
Quick steps
- Check for Bluetooth: Open Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices.
- Check Device Manager: Look for a Bluetooth category or an unknown device.
- Install the correct driver: Download the Bluetooth driver for your computer or Bluetooth adapter.
- Restart Windows: After installation, Bluetooth should appear in Settings.
- Pair your device: Go to Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices → Add Bluetooth or other device.
If Bluetooth doesn't appear at all, that doesn't necessarily mean Windows 10 can't use it—it may simply mean the Bluetooth hardware or driver isn't installed.
