What is a nano adapter? it is a USB Wireless adapter that usually is a little bigger than the size of the USB port itself (see image). Nano adapters can be USB A or the new USB C port.
There are many nano wireless network adapters on the market, some of them don't have any branding which can present an issue when it comes to installing drivers (if they are required). Often as a money saving measure the drivers are included on a mini cdrom which can be a problem because very few laptop users have a cdrom drive. If there is branding on the device or packaging first seek the manufacturer for support if they offer it.
Most nano adapters use Realtek, Mediatek and Broadcom chipsets in 2024. If it is possible to determine what chipset is used in the device that is being troubleshooted you may put that number into our search and you should get results for drivers. At times there are no drivers for Windows 11, however most time Windows 10 x64 (64bit) drivers will install without an issue... but this should only be done by a technician that knows what they are doing as incorrect installation of drivers can break a system.
