MediaTek 802.11N Wireless USB adapters use Realtek chipsets and usually don’t require drivers depending on what version of Windows you are using. Windows 10 will recognize these USB/Mini PCIe adapters automatically, but for some people they want to use the drivers that are the latest from Realtek for various reasons. For latest versions of Linux such as Ubuntu or Centos (Redhat) the kernel should recognize the adapter without additional configurations.
