Casio Computer Co., Ltd., founded in 1946 by Tadao Kashio in Tokyo, Japan, is a leading electronics manufacturer known for calculators, watches, cameras, and musical instruments. Casio’s first success was the yubiwa pipe, followed by Japan’s first electro-mechanical calculator in 1954. In 1957, it released the world’s first all-electric compact calculator. Casio became a pioneer in digital watches and keyboards during the 1980s and has introduced several innovations in digital cameras, including LCD screens and ultra-compact models.
