An IGP is a graphics chip or GPU integrated in the motherboard of a computer/laptop. These graphics processors often serve as a cheap and discrete way to incorporate a graphics technology into a device without the need for an external graphics card. These IGP GPU’s are not as powerful as an external or dedicated graphics device and share RAM that has been installed for the device. This leads to less RAM being available to the OS and performance is acceptable but not made for any powerful gaming or video editing.
