The Intel® 82801EB (ICH5) is a chipset that integrates multiple I/O functions onto a single chip. It supports PCI Revision 2.3, providing six PCI REQ/GNT pairs with one pair having higher arbitration priority. The chipset includes an integrated LAN controller with 10/100 Mbit/sec Ethernet support and an ASF Management Controller. It also features integrated Serial ATA (SATA) host controllers with independent DMA operation on two ports, supporting data transfer rates up to 1.5 Gb/s and RAID Level 0 (ICH5R only). Additionally, it has an integrated IDE controller supporting Ultra ATA/100/66/33, BMIDE, and PIO modes. The ICH5 also includes support for 44-bit addressing on PCI using DAC protocol and tri-state modes for swap bays.
