Sold on AliExpress is a USB to WiFi 6 adapter that is advertised as having a Realtek RTL8832AU chipset which isn’t the case. When the device is cracked open inside is a chip labeled Broadcom BCM4378x be here is the funny part this chip is actually an AIC 8800 series chip. So if there was an award for the most deceptive device on the market this would win outright. This device may or may not be a WiFi 6 device, it certainly isn't on Windows 7 from tests done.
Windows 7 requires these Knowledge Base Patches for the adapter to function correctly:
- Update for Kernel-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 KB2685811
- 2019-09 Security Update for Windows KB2685811
