HP Wireless Assistant is a wireless device management utility for compatible HP and Compaq notebooks. It allows users to check the status of supported wireless devices, such as WLAN and Bluetooth, and turn individual radios on or off. It does not replace the drivers required by the wireless hardware.
Installation
- Download
SP31891.exe. - Double-click the file to extract and launch the HP SoftPaq installer.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to install Wireless Assistant.
- Restart the notebook if prompted.
- Open HP Wireless Assistant from the Start menu or notification area to check and manage wireless devices.
Note: This utility is intended for selected older HP and Compaq notebooks. Wireless devices must have compatible drivers installed, and any radio disabled in the BIOS must be enabled there first.
