I have several HP printers, including a LaserJet 5000, DesignJet CP1700 and DesignJet 800PS. I was looking for a small, reliable printer to use in my private office for printing checks, letters, specifications, etc., and I found it in the 2420. It has a fairly small footprint, is very quiet, yet has performance to print 200 to 300 page specification documents very quickly and with excellent quality. I use it to print on pre-printed documents such as checks and certain architectural forms with no problems with alignment etc. It has been in operation for nearly a year and has performed flawlessly, as my other HP's and therefore I highly recommend it.
