This is an empty SSD HDD enclosure, after installing a drive into the enclosure and connecting to a computer there are a number of things to consider such as the port that is being connected, ideally this should be a USB 3.0 or fast port, but a USB 2.0 port will work. Also the format of the drive could be an issue depending on what Operating System you are running.
