Typically no drivers are required for any versions of Windows going back 20+ years. A few things to check:
- Make sure you are using the included 12v/2A Power Adapter as the device will no run off USB power alone.
- Best performance will be achieved with USB 3.0, this drive will work on USB 2.0 and 1.1 but will be severely speed restricted.
- If a new drive is being placed in the dock that hasn't been used before it may need to be formatted or initialized.
- If the drive has come out of an computer with an operating system other than the one you are doing a recovery on it may not read the drive. For example Windows can't read HSF file systems from macOS.
