Wilocity was a California-based fabless semiconductor company founded in March 2007 by former Intel Wi-Fi Centrino executives and engineers. It specialized in developing 60GHz multi-gigabit wireless chipsets for mobile computing and peripheral markets. While headquartered in California, most of its workforce was in Israel. Wilocity's Wireless PCI Express (wPCIe) technology, based on the WiGig specification, enabled high-speed wireless connectivity for applications such as I/O, networking, and video.
