The Intel® Serial IO GPIO Host Controller Driver 5.123.1.1023 supports compatible Intel systems running Windows 11 and Windows 10. It enables Windows to communicate with the General-Purpose Input/Output (GPIO) controller, which manages low-level signals between the processor and connected hardware. The driver is supplied as a .cab file and must be installed through Device Manager or an elevated command prompt.
Installation steps
- Download the
.cabdriver file and copy it to a folder, such asC:\Drivers\IntelGPIO. - Open Command Prompt as administrator.
Run the following command, replacing the path and filename as needed:
dism /Online /Add-Package /PackagePath:"C:\Drivers\IntelGPIO\driver.cab"- Wait for the installation to finish, then restart Windows if required.
Note: If the CAB file contains driver files rather than a Windows update package, extract it first and install the driver through Device Manager using Update driver → Browse my computer for drivers.
