These Pinnacle 710-USB Studio MovieBox USB device were really designed to be used with Pinnacle studio which can still be purchased, they are on version 26 at writing this. The latest version are supposed to still support these older devices. Drivers were eventually included in Windows update and is still the best way to get the device up and working. As far as using Pinnacle studio if you're using an old machine archive.org may have a XP era version that you can use.
