The IT6562FN is a highly capable single-chip solution designed as a DisplayPort to HDMI and VGA converter. It integrates a DisplayPort receiver, an HDMI transmitter, and triple DACs to facilitate conversion from DisplayPort input to HDMI or VGA output.
Its DisplayPort receiver complies with DisplayPort 1.1a and HDCP 1.3 standards, supporting configurations like 4-lane HBR1 (High-Bit-Rate). This allows for handling VESA resolutions up to WUXGA or WQXGA, CEA resolutions up to 1080P@120Hz, or 4Kx2K@30Hz. Additionally, the receiver supports MCCS over the AUX channel.
The integrated HDMI transmitter is compliant with HDMI 1.4b and HDCP 1.4 standards, ensuring robust transmission of high-quality uncompressed video content. It can support color depths up to 36 bits (12 bits per color) and up to 8 channels of digital audio with high sampling rates and sample sizes.
Triple DACs integrated into the chip support up to 10-bit deep color with a throughput rate of 200MSPS.
The chip comes with an embedded MCU and Flash, making it easily programmable through the ISP interface or DP AUX channel. This eliminates the need for external Flash and MCU, reducing the bill of materials (BOM) cost and board size.
Additionally, the IT6562FN includes a 3.3V to 1.2V Power Regulator, allowing optional use of a single 3.3V power supply for PCB design. This feature eliminates the need for an external power regulator, further saving on BOM costs and board size during the design phase.
Each individual IT6562FN chip comes preprogrammed with a unique HDCP key, ensuring compliance with HDCP 1.3 and HDCP 1.4 standards for secure transmission of high-definition content. This eliminates the requirement for users to purchase separate HDCP keys or ROMs.
