The RTS5138 is a high-performance USB 2.0 compliant card reader controller that combines a USB 2.0 transceiver, MCU, SIE, voltage regulators, and memory card interface units into a single chip. It supports multiple formats, including Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo, Secure Digital, MultiMediaCard, and xD-Picture Card. However, it operates in a single LUN configuration, meaning only one card can be used at a time. The chip also integrates a 3.3V to 1.8V regulator, clock circuitry, and MOSFET, helping reduce overall system cost.
