The Southchip SC89601D is a highly integrated 1.5 MHz switch-mode buck charger designed for single-cell Li-ion battery applications with NVDC system power-path management. It separates system load and charging current and can power a system even with a deeply depleted battery. Supporting 3.9–13.5 V input and up to 3 A charging current, it provides full charge management including trickle, constant-current, constant-voltage, termination, and auto-recharge. All charging parameters are programmable via I2C. The SC89601D also supports USB OTG up to 1.2 A, BC1.2 detection, extensive protections, and integrates all MOSFETs in a compact 4×4 mm QFN-24 package.
