If this adapter isn't showing the drive connected to the adapter on your computer a few things to consider:

• Quality of the USB port you are using, try another USB port.
• Is the SATA drive still mechanically functional? It may be broken.
• The format of the connected drive, it may need mounting see Disk Management. How to Open Disk Management from Command Prompt (CMD)
