3Com is a global provider of enterprise and small-business networking solutions, offering network switches, routers, wireless access points and controllers, IP voice systems, and intrusion prevention systems. Net income in the quarter was $79.8 million, or $0.20 per diluted share, compared with a net loss of $18.7 million, or $0.05 per share, in the first quarter of fiscal year 2008.
