D-Link Corporation is a Taiwanese multinational networking equipment manufacturer headquartered in Taipei. Founded in 1986 as Datex Systems Inc., it became D-Link in 1994 upon going public. Initially a network adapter vendor, it grew to provide networking solutions for consumers and businesses. D-Link led the SMB market in 2007 and was the top global Wi-Fi vendor in 2008. Known for pioneering routers like the DIR-655 and DIR-868L, D-Link was recognized by Gartner in 2019 as a Customers’ Choice for LAN infrastructure.
